Human Behaviour Analysis

The following explains the process of human behaviour analysis, the reasons why this is necessary and the associated benefits it can bring to organisations in the running of their operations.

Why is Human Behaviour Analysis necessary?

It is estimated that around 80-90% of human communication is non-verbal. Monitoring the behaviour of individuals, therefore, is vitally important in order to ensure that they do not pose a threat to other people, your business, or its premises.

What does Human Behaviour Analysis do?

Sophisticated human behaviour analysis systems can instantly spot potentially threatening behaviour from individuals, meaning that businesses have the tools to effectively respond and deal with these threats, before they escalate and become a serious security risk.

How does Human Behaviour Analysis work?

In simple terms, human behaviour analysis uses CCTV systems, which constantly monitor movement and changes in behaviour. These CCTV images are cross referenced against a system which is programmed to identify behaviour which it deems to be threatening.

Raw video data is passed through an analysis platform and is then stored on a hard disk, where it is converted into metadata. This metadata is archived and can then be referenced at a future point.

Using state of the art algorithms, human behaviour systems can be set up to monitor several CCTV cameras, each for specific behaviour bringing this together means that security staff are able to monitor incidents in real-time and react to this accordingly.

Where is Human Behaviour Analysis used?

Human behaviour analysis has a number of applications, which make it useful in a number of situations. These range from aviation, where it can be used to identify potential terrorist suspects, to bars and clubs, where it can prevent potential fights from breaking out.

At large events such as concerts and sports matches, human behaviour analysis can help security to control crowd activity and eliminate potential violence, while casinos can use the systems to monitor suspicious gambling activity.

In short, the uses and applications of human behaviour analysis are potentially endless.
