    IBM Tivoli Identity Manager Integration

IBM Certifies Protocom SecureLogin Single Sign-On as "Ready for IBM Tivoli Software"

    May 27th, 2005

Sacramento, CA - February 3, 2005 - Protocom Development Systems, recognized worldwide leader in credential management solutions¹, today announced that IBM Tivoli has certified Protocom SecureLogin® Single-Sign-On as "Ready for IBM Tivoli Software."Protocom SecureLogin® Single Sign-On integrates with IBM Tivoli® Identity Manager (ITIM) to extend IBM's secure, automated and policy-based user identity management solution. Integration between SecureLogin Single Sign-On and ITIM provides IBM Tivoli clients with a superior single sign-on solution that extends their IBM Tivoli into legacy applications."IBM is one of the top identity and access management solution providers in the world. IBM's clients and prospects can now add one of the top enterprise single sign-on products in the world to their Tivoli solutions," said Mick Smith, Protocom's CTO. "SecureLogin Single Sign-On complements IBM's integrated identity and access management suite for legacy client server applications.""IDC research recognizes IBM/ IBM Tivoli as a revenue leader in the Identity and Access Management market. This certification of Protocom technology will broaden choices and ease IAM deployments for both existing and new Protocom and IBM customers," said Sally Hudson, research manager at IDC. IDC research shows that the market for IAM reached over $2 billion in 2003².SecureLogin Single Sign-On had to meet key integration standards for integration with ITIM. It was tested and validated by Tivoli technical experts in the Tivoli validation lab. Highlights of the integration include: * SecureLogin Single Sign-On with Tivoli Identity Manager allows users to login to their provisioned accounts without ever having to see or enter their application credentials. * Integration with ITIM occurs through a series of workflow extensions and a Java single sign-on (SSO) datastore application program interface (API) for reading and writing SSO data to the LDAP directory. * SecureLogin Single Sign-On manages the user's application access credentials, providing enterprises with increased security while providing end-users with a faster login experience. ¹ IDC has acknowledged Protocom as one of the top three revenue leaders in host single sign-on, as well as providing the technology to the market leader, in "Worldwide Identity and Access Management 2004-2008 Forecast and 2003 Vendor Shares: The Death of Security 3A, Part I", released in November 2004 (IDC # 31997).² Ibid.
