Awards success for HRS

June 12th, 2009

HRS has made a flourishing start to 2009, winning a coveted Frost and Sullivan award and making the shortlist for two further prestigious best practice awards.

The company scooped the Frost and Sullivan Customer Value Leadership of the Year Award in recognition of excellence in creating value for its customers through advanced products and services based on cutting-edge biometric technology.

HRS has also been nominated in Computer Weekly's Best Places to Work in IT 2009 and has progressed to the North of England and Northern Ireland regional final of the Orange National Business Awards.

The Frost and Sullivan Best Practice Awards recognise companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance across a number of areas including technological innovation and customer service.

Industry analysts compare market participants and measure performance through in-depth interviews, analysis and extensive secondary research in order to identify best practices in the industry.

CEO Neil Norman said: "I started Human Recognition Systems in 2001 with a clear vision to establish a company which was recognised as an innovator and pioneer in the field of biometrics.

"Our recent award successes not only reinforce that belief, but also recognise the pride and passion my team have put into our projects over the years and the confidence and opportunities our customers have given us.

"I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to everyone who has worked so hard to make these achievements possible."

This is the first time HRS has entered the competition for the Computer Weekly Best Places to Work in IT, and this year's contest has attracted more entries than ever before. The awards are voted on exclusively by employees, so being shortlisted is a significant achievement for HRS.

Finally, the Orange National Business Awards are among the most prestigious of accolades achievable by UK businesses, and selection for the regional finals not only recognises outstanding achievement, but also commitment to the local region.
